CHAPLAIN DREADNOUGHT - SERVIUS

December 26, 2018

This Chaplain Dreadnought was created from scratch using bits and pieces from around the house. I challenged myself at the start of this project to not use any parts from existing model kits nor recast anything.

The model took around 3.5 months to create and 2 weeks to paint. the legs alone took nearly 2 months of work to put together and sculpt.

I am very proud of myself for completing this guy and for the high standard that I kept throughout the process of making him. Because of this he is my favorite model I've made so far.

Over this single model I sculpted over 70 individual little skulls. This, as you would expect, ended up making me quite good at sculpting them and the last skulls I created were the best ones I made to date.

After finishing Servius I looked back at the pieces that I had finished 4 months earlier and was very happy to find that I had improved markedly. This shows that practice does indeed make perfect.
