IMPERIUS - DIABLO 3

Imperius is the archangel of Valor from Diablo III. This model was sculpted over the course of a little over a month for my first overseas commission! This little guy made the long trip all the way across the pacific to America where he will be painted by his new owner! :D

This model was my first time creating polymer clay molds for armor pieces so they are fully detailed before being attached to the model (process can be seen below). This process was revolutionary for me and allows me to create fully symmetrical pieces with minimal effort!

The model was sculpted mostly in my usual mix of 50:50 Green Stuff to Milliput. These are epoxy putties which have a work life of around 3-4h. The wings however were sculpted using hot glue, as they needed to be extremely durable and I thought it would be cool to be able to reposition them to the desired shapes!

Overall this project was an awesome learning curve and I hope my client enjoys this model for a long time! :)
